Events / Rides

The 2008 Iron Crotch ride run by County Cycles is set for April 27th. Details and registration here. Dave Bogenhagen (me) is again planning on having Swedish pancakes beforehand and then depart on bikes from his house in North Hudson to the start in Houlton. Contact me at

Groups rides in the Hudson area also include the Sunday "Art Doyles" group. Ramping up in the summer up to 60-70 milers departing from his shop in Hudson at 7:00 am when weather permits.

Hudson

2008's Tuesday's rides depart from the intersection of 1st street and St. Croix begin April 1st. These rides start at 5:15 pm. This is the most "official" team ride that has between 6-12 riders. There is an active blog site to follow along.

In 2006, we did a total distance of 1150 miles at an average speed of 18.2 mph. Contact Bob Barabe A.K.A. the Trailmaster for more information on the weekly rides. New riders welcomed whether your a club member or not. Be ready for some great riding until about Halloween depending on the weather.

New Richmond

The first ride has yet to be announced but they occur on Thursdays at 5:00. The departure is from the New Richmond 1st National Bank. Check with Jim Remmington at 246-3422 for details.

River Falls

In the summer, there are weekly rides departing from Hoffman park at 5:00. This ride isn't organized by and Big Ring Flyers, but presents an opportunity to ride in a group if you want to start from River Falls. See River Valley Trails for current information.
THE 2007 AUTUMN TREK IS OVER :(

Big Ring Flyers attending the event were Dave Bogenhagen (101) and Vince Meyer (65). This years ninth annual rode through the beautiful Saint Croix River Valley as usual. It embarked on Sunday, September 23rd., from Hoffman Park. The ride had excellent weather and super support at the rest stops. A point of note is that the ride organizers to alter the route slightly from year to year to add variety and routes over high quality roads. A big thank you to the River Valley Trails for and excellent ride.

The Autumn Trek includes:
